Hertfordshire Male and Female Apprentice of the year 2017

Congratulations to Joanna Weave , Crabtree Primary School, Harpenden and Harry Lofting St Theresa’s RC School, Borehamwood for both achieving Herts Sports Partnerships Apprentices of the Year 2017. Both individuals were worthy winners of the awards and we wish them the very best of luck in their future career paths. The nominations stated the following for Joanna and Harry: Joanna: Joanna has been an outstanding apprentice. She has demonstrated she is a hardworking and conscientious individual who always strives to do her best in everything. Joanna has introduced girls football into the school and supports the class teaching by working closely with some of our children with physical difficulties. She will ensure that they are engaged with something as close to what everyone else is doing. Harry: Harry will openly say how the apprenticeship programme has changed him and not just developed him into a fine sports leader, but also gave him the confidence in life to go and pursue his dreams.  Hence his recent trip to America to coach young children football. To see a young man grow in confidence in such a way has been an absolute pleasure to be part of and that is why I had no hesitation in putting Harry forward for apprentice of the year! Well done to both of you and a massive thank you to our partners on this journey, Herts Sports Partnership who continue to work so closely with Sporting Futures Training.
